Genealogy

In Norwegian

There is some genealogy information collected here on Bergstranda. Family, most of the roots in our home rural community, Beitstad in Trøndelag, but also has some roots in other communities around the inner Trondheim Fjord. Side branches are spread all over the world. An example of this is that three of the brothers of my grandmother Aslaug Klæth emigrated to America and Canada.

The Java family tree that used to be here, is not working anymore, alas.

A small family board
Just below here is a list of my siblings, parents, grandparents and great grandparents.

Genealogy background
Sources are Farm History for Beitstad (Beitstad-book volumes. 1-3), Farm History of Sparbu and Ogndal, div. genealogy books, farm stories and other local historical writings. Thanks to the fylkesbiblioteket, the local library, who let you study their microfilms. They have an extensive archive, not only of the old church records, but also other local historical things. After I laid out these pages on the web, I have also received material from others who are concerned with genealogy. I thank and bow! I welcome all the corrections and additions to all databases in Gedcom format.

Dynamic Family Tree
If you would like to post their own family data using Java apleten Dynamic Family Tree, you can download the latest verson here!

I welcome any tips on how Genealogy can be improved. And not least, I would therefore like to have contact with both close and distant relatives, who know more than me about the parts of the family!
